Chery has announced the forthcoming Australian release of the TIGGO 8 Pro Max, scheduled for April 2024. This model is the third to join Chery's Australian lineup, expanding the brand's presence in the market.

The TIGGO 8 Pro Max is a 7-seat SUV, joining the TIGGO 7 Pro in Chery's range of vehicles available in Australia. Lucas Harris, Managing Director at Chery Australia, confirmed the vehicle's introduction, positioning it as a new option for Australian consumers looking for family SUVs.

Designed with a focus on modern aesthetics, the TIGGO 8 Pro Max features design elements such as LED headlights and a spacious interior. It aims to balance style with practicality, reflecting Chery's approach to vehicle design.

The SUV will be available in three variants: Urban (FWD), Elite (FWD), and Ultimate (AWD), all powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine delivering 180kW and 375Nm. The engine is coupled with a transmission system designed for 'smooth performance on Australian roads', though details are yet to be fully released.

Since its entry into the Australian market in 2023, Chery has established a network of 60 dealerships and sold over 6000 vehicles. The launch of the TIGGO 8 Pro Max will be accompanied by a 7-year unlimited km warranty, 7-year capped price servicing, and up to 7 years of roadside assistance, as stated by the company.

Chery has opened registrations for interested buyers on its Australian website in anticipation of the TIGGO 8 Pro Max's release. You can register your interest here.

Matt Brand
I’m Matt, the Founder and CEO of CarSauce. I kicked things off back in 2020 with "Matt Brand Cars," back when it was just me and a camera trying to change how car reviews were done. Before I traded the corporate suit for steering wheels, I worked in management consulting at KPMG and in the aviation industry after finishing my Commerce degree at Melbourne Uni.‍ That business background helped me turn a passion project into what CarSauce is today, but my real goal is to make sure our reviews stay entertaining and honest. When I’m not deep in car specs, I’m usually on camera trying to keep Jacob in line - though, as you’ve probably seen, that’s easier said than done!
