The Omoda E5 is equipped with a single electric motor that produces 150kW of power and 340Nm of torque. It offers a maximum driving range of up to 430km based on the WLTP testing cycle. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.6 seconds and has a power consumption rate of 155Wh/km. Both grades support DC fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in under 30 minutes using a compatible charger.

The BX variant features dual 12.3-inch digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Other standard equipment includes three drive modes, a voice command system, a 6-speaker sound system, and 18 advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.

The EX variant includes all the features of the BX and adds a power tailgate, a 360-degree camera, ambient interior lighting, heated front and rear seats, and a powered sunroof. It also comes with an upgraded 8-speaker sound system, synthetic leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and puddle lamps.

Both variants come with a range of safety features, including seven airbags and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The ADAS includes features such as lane keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. Additionally, the Omoda E5 includes a full-size spare wheel.

The Omoda E5 features a front grille that houses the CCS2 charging port, LED lighting, and twin rear spoilers. It is available in five exterior colours, with premium paint offered for an additional $500. The EX variant also offers an optional black roof for select colours at an additional cost of $600.

The Omoda E5 will be available in Chery showrooms in September, joining the Omoda 5, TIGGO 7 Pro, and TIGGO 8 Pro Max in Chery’s local lineup.
