BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand, has launched the first demonstrator event for its ATTO 3 model across Australia. This event allows customers to purchase the brand’s top-selling vehicle at reduced prices.

Named ATTOvation, the campaign provides special pricing on the ATTO 3 model, aimed at making electric vehicles more accessible. David Smitherman, CEO of EVDirect, stated that the campaign aims to align with the current economic conditions by offering lower operational costs through electric vehicle ownership.

The demonstrator models of the ATTO 3 are available starting at $45,990 drive away in most regions, with a $2,000 premium for customers in Western Australia. An additional $700 is required for metallic paint options.

The event is scheduled from April 22, 2024, through May 31, 2024, or while supplies last. The campaign includes potential additional government rebates for buyers in Western Australia, Queensland, and the ACT.

BYD was founded in 1995 and operates in various sectors such as electronics, automobiles, renewable energy, and rail transit. The company is listed on both the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges and reports a turnover exceeding CNY 200 billion (approximately AUD 43 billion)
