Audi Releases 2025 RS Q8 with Updated Features and Enhanced Engine Specs

Audi has launched the 2025 model of the RS Q8, which includes a newly introduced Performance variant.

This update positions the RS Q8 as the most powerful petrol model in Audi's current lineup, surpassing previous models in terms of engine output.

The 2025 RS Q8 is available in two versions: the standard model and the Performance variant.

Both versions showcase updated exterior designs, modern headlight technology, and interior improvements.

The release date for these models in Australian markets has not yet been announced.

The base RS Q8 model retains its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 441kW and 800Nm, with a top speed that varies between 250km/h and 305km/h, depending on selected options.

The Performance variant boosts these figures to 471kW and 850Nm, achieving a 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds.

Transmission for both models is managed through an eight-speed automatic system with an all-wheel-drive configuration that can adjust torque distribution to enhance vehicle dynamics.

The Performance variant additionally features a lighter standard exhaust system, designed to decrease back pressure, with an optional sport exhaust system available.

Standard features across both models include adaptive air suspension that allows for up to 90mm of ride height adjustments, and active anti-roll bars that optimise stability and comfort depending on driving conditions.

Exterior updates include a new grille design, modified rear diffuser, and additional colour options such as Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue, and Chili Red.

The vehicle also offers optional HD matrix LED headlights and OLED tail-lights, which include customisable lighting signatures and a proximity indication feature to improve visibility and safety.

Interior enhancements are available through various RS design packages that offer different colour schemes and materials, including contrast stitching and Alcantara or Dinamica accents.

Additional options like high-performance brakes and rear-wheel steering are also available for improved handling.

The 2025 Audi RS Q8 will start taking orders in Europe later this week, with starting prices at approximately AU$215,700.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
