Volkswagen has officially launched the 2025 Tayron SUV range in Australia, offering four variants positioned between the Tiguan and Touareg.

Described as a continuation of the formula seen in the latest-generation Tiguan, it is designed to compete in the mainstream large SUV segment with a focus on value and practicality.

The all-new model is available in five- and seven-seat configurations, with pricing starting at $48,290 before on-road costs.

The entry-level 110TSI Life comes as a seven-seater and features 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.9-inch infotainment system, Digital Cockpit Pro, keyless entry and go, and a power tailgate.

Safety technologies come fully loaded as standard, and include a surround view camera, Travel Assist, adaptive cruise control with lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, and nine airbags.

The five-seat 150TSI Life variant is priced from $53,990 before on-road costs and swaps out the 110kW power unit for a 150kW 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, gaining 4MOTION all-wheel drive and 885L of boot capacity.

It also adds DCC Pro adaptive damping and a braked towing capacity of up to 2,500kg.

The 150TSI Elegance, from $59,490 before on-road costs, includes 19-inch wheels, chrome exterior trim, privacy glass, and upgraded LED headlights.

Interior upgrades feature leather-appointed seats with heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions, plus a heated steering wheel.

An optional $4,200 Sound & Vision pack for the Elegance adds a 15-inch Discover Pro Max display, Harman Kardon audio, head-up display, and HD Matrix LED headlights. A panoramic sunroof is also available for an additional $2,100.

The range-topping 195TSI R-Line is priced from $73,490 before on-road costs and delivers 195kW and 400Nm via a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and 4MOTION system, achieving 0–100km/h in 6.1 seconds.

It features 20-inch wheels, sportier R-Line styling, premium lighting and a Harman Kardon audio system.

Exclusive to the R-Line is a $1,500 Black Style package, adding blacked-out exterior elements and unique 20-inch wheels. A panoramic sunroof remains optional at $2,100.
