Mitsubishi Motors has taken the wraps off the Mitsubishi XRT Concept, a tantalizing preview of the all-new Triton Ute/Pickup/Bakkie, at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show. Scheduled for launch in fiscal year 2023, the sixth-generation Triton is set to make a bold statement with its fierce expression, robust hood, and striking, horizontally-themed styling.

All New 2024 Mitsubishi Triton - XRT Concept Front

The Triton, manufactured at Mitsubishi's Laemchabang Factory in Thailand, is a top-selling model and global strategic vehicle for the brand. Exported to around 150 countries, the midsize pickup truck will receive its first full redesign in nearly nine years. Following its launch in Thailand, the all-new Triton will be released in the ASEAN region, Oceania, and other global markets.

All New 2024 Mitsubishi Triton - XRT Concept Side

The Mitsubishi XRT Concept showcases front and rear over fenders and mud-terrain tires, highlighting the vehicle's ability to tackle challenging rallies and terrain. Its body features a lava rock-inspired camouflage design, and the sides display a 10-parallel line Ralliart brand icon, symbolizing Mitsubishi Motors' passion for driving.

At the upcoming Asia Cross Country Rally 2023, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart will compete with a prototype cross-country model of the all-new Triton (Group T1 specifications). Two-time Dakar Rally champion driver Hiroshi Masuoka will serve as team director, and Mitsubishi Motors engineers will provide support at the rally. The automaker plans to use the expertise gained from rally competitions to further enhance its production vehicles.
