Nissan has introduced updates to the 2024 model of the Nissan Patrol, focusing on technological enhancements aimed at improving the vehicle's cabin experience for both on-road and off-road use.

The updates include a collaboration with Directed Technologies, resulting in the incorporation of a new 10.1-inch high-definition central touchscreen.

This touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, aimed at enhancing connectivity options for users.

Additional features such as twin USB ports (Type A and Type C) and a wireless smartphone charging pocket have been added to keep devices charged.

The infotainment system now also offers functionalities like a full HD wide-angle reversing camera, iGO Street Navigation, and a one-month free subscription to Hema 4x4 Navigation, which provides detailed off-road mapping.

Hema Maps, a service that has been offering off-road navigation since 1983, offers digital maps to help navigate various terrains.

The MY24 Patrol buyers will receive a complimentary one-month subscription to Hema Maps, facilitating navigation across different landscapes.

The interior of the 2024 Patrol includes a cool box in the front row center console for the Ti specification and offers seating options for either seven (Ti-L) or eight (Ti) passengers, aimed at accommodating groups of various sizes.

The vehicle retains its off-road features, including the Intelligent 4X4 system, electronic 4WD selection, a rear Helical limited-slip differential, and Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) suspension.

The 2024 Patrol is available in two grades, Ti and Ti-L, and the Patrol Warrior by Premcar, powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 298kW of power and 560Nm of torque.

This engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission equipped with manual mode and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC).

The Patrol's 3.5-tonne braked towing capacity remains unchanged in the 2024 model.

Brent Stafford, Executive Director of Directed Technologies, commented on the partnership with Nissan, noting the multimedia device is designed for the Australian market, suggesting it is tailored to meet the demands of Australian terrain conditions experienced by Nissan Patrol and Patrol Warrior owners.
