2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA: Comprehensive Guide to New Features, Design Updates, and Price Changes

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA series has received several updates, including standard equipment enhancements and design changes, accompanied by an increase in prices. The model range, which includes the CLA 200, CLA 250 4Matic, AMG CLA 35 4Matic, and the AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+, sees price hikes up to $7,000. The starting price is now set at $76,900 for the CLA 200, going up to $126,500 for the AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+.

These price increases incorporate additional features such as metallic paint, a panoramic glass sunroof, electric front seats with memory, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry, a push-button start, and a surround-view camera. The AMG CLA 35 4Matic also includes a Burmester surround-sound system and safety/comfort features such as rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, route-based speed adaptation, and Guard 360 vehicle protection.

Design updates for the 2024 models include a new front bumper, LED headlight and tail light effects, and new grille designs. The range also introduces new alloy wheels, up to 19 inches in size, and two new exterior colors: Hyper Blue and Spectral Blue. Interior updates feature a new steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and updated infotainment software. The AMG models now include the 'Panamericana' grille design.

In terms of performance, the CLA 200 features a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 120kW of power and 270Nm of torque. The CLA 250 4Matic has a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 165kW and 350Nm, and the AMG CLA 35 4Matic has a similar engine but with higher outputs of 225kW and 400Nm. The top-of-the-line AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, delivering 310kW and 500Nm. It's notable that the CLA 45 S is not a mild hybrid.
