2024 LDV T60 Price and Specs: Enhanced Safety, Modernized Interior Upgrades

The 2024 LDV T60 ute has been updated with additional safety features, a new interior, and a restyled front, accompanied by a price increase of $4500.

The updated model, called the T60 Max Plus, now includes autonomous emergency braking (AEB), which will become a mandatory feature for all new vehicles in Australia by March 2025.

Previously, the LDV T60 was among the last utes in Australia to incorporate AEB.

The Max Plus variant is offered at a starting price of $45,990 drive-away for ABN holders, which is $2500 above the previous Luxe model and $4500 more than the price for the 2023-plate models currently on offer.

The interior has been redesigned, featuring two 12.3-inch displays and offering both wired and wireless options for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Adjustments include relocating the gear selector to the steering column and introducing an electronic parking brake to optimize interior space.

Safety features such as lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control are included in automatic variants of the Max Plus, though not in the manual versions.

The update also replaces the previous leaf-spring rear suspension with a coil-spring setup, aiming to improve payload capacity and ride comfort.

Exterior updates are consistent with the models sold in China, with a new front bumper, gloss black grille, and black trim for door handles and mirrors.

The T60 retains its 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, with modifications to the engine software claimed to improve power delivery.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
