Ford Australia has announced the pricing and specification details for the seventh-generation Ford Mustang, offering three models to choose from: the EcoBoost, GT, and the brand-new Mustang Dark Horse. Each model brings something unique to the table, ensuring there's a perfect Mustang for every driving enthusiast.

The EcoBoost is powered by a 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine and is available with a Fastback body style. The GT model, available in Fastback or convertible body style, features a 5.0-litre V8 engine with a choice of a six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic transmission. The GT model is also available as a convertible with an automatic transmission.

One of the highlights of the new Mustang lineup is the Dark Horse Special Edition. This new performance nameplate offers a unique TREMEC® six-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission, with only 1,000 units being made available for Australia. The Dark Horse is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine that delivers an exhilarating 349kW and 548Nm of torque.

New Mustang Dark Horse Special Edition

The seventh-generation Mustang incorporates modern design elements while retaining its classic Mustang cues. The LED headlamps, sleek roofline, and broad sprinting stance are all reminiscent of the first-generation Mustang, showcasing the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. The interior of the new Mustang is equally impressive, featuring a completely redesigned cockpit that includes two curved displays and a fully immersive digital experience.

With the addition of new engine technologies, the Mustang promises an even more thrilling driving experience. The fourth generation Coyote 5.0L V8 engine has been revised to maximize power, while the updated 2.3L EcoBoost engine features a range of enhancements to improve performance. Furthermore, the new Mustang comes equipped with an Electric Park & Drift Brake, Active Valve Performance Exhaust, and track apps to enhance the driving experience.

The 2024 Ford Mustang lineup starts at $64,990 MLP* for the EcoBoost Fastback model and goes up to $103,002 MLP* for the Dark Horse Automatic. First customer arrivals are scheduled for Q2 2024.
