2024 CUPRA Formentor VZe Price and Specs: Exclusive Design with Leasing Benefits

CUPRA has released the Formentor VZe Tribe Edition, a limited edition plug-in hybrid electric vehicle designed with distinct styling and available financial benefits for eligible novated lease customers.

This model, which targets those eligible for Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) savings, offers a cost-efficient alternative for leasing compared to the standard Formentor.

Priced from $67,990 plus on-road costs, with varying drive-away prices across regions from $70,990 to $73,990, the Formentor VZe Tribe Edition includes several unique design features.

These include 19-inch black and copper alloy wheels and petrol blue leather-appointed trim on the seats and door panels.

The vehicle comes equipped with an array of standard features such as heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings for seats and mirrors, a 360-degree camera, and a nine-speaker Beats audio system.

These features aim to enhance the vehicle's comfort and technology offerings.

According to Ben Wilks, CUPRA director, the Formentor VZe has risen in demand in 2024, with the VZe and VZx models comprising a significant portion of sales for CUPRA's most popular vehicle.

He stated that the new Tribe Edition offers design elements from the higher-end VZx model and can provide savings for those eligible for salary sacrifice benefits under current government tax exemptions for hybrid and electric vehicles.

The Formentor VZe Tribe Edition is powered by a combination of a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, supported by a 10.9kWh battery.

It produces 180kW of power and 400Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds.

The vehicle also offers an electric-only range of approximately 50km on a full charge, with a reported fuel efficiency of 1.9 litres per 100 kilometres when charged overnight from a household outlet.
