2024 BYD Atto 3 Updated with Price Adjustments and New Features in Australia

The 2024 BYD Atto 3, an electric SUV, has undergone a price reduction of $3,562, setting the new starting price at $44,499 for the Standard Range model and $47,499 for the Extended Range model, both before on-road costs.

This adjustment accompanies the introduction of the updated model in Australia and represents the lowest pricing since its initial launch in late 2022.

The latest update includes several changes, among them the introduction of a new Cosmos Black exterior paint option, while eliminating the previous red and green options.

Technological improvements feature a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen, replacing the former 12.8-inch screen, and the inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The vehicle has also transitioned to Continental EcoContact 6 tyres, replacing the previously used Atlas Batman A51 tyres.

Interior colour options have been modified, with new black and blue schemes available for certain exterior colours, while the light grey, blue, and red synthetic leather options remain available for white and blue exteriors.

Additionally, the Atto 3 now includes a camping mode, allowing the use of air conditioning while the vehicle is turned off, given the battery is at least 20% charged.

The core specifications of the Atto 3, including its design and major components, remain consistent with previous models.

It features a 150kW electric motor and offers battery capacities of 50kWh and 60kWh, which provide ranges of 345km and 420km under WLTP standards, respectively.

Should Chinese Cars Be Banned in Australia?

Banning Chinese cars in Australia makes no sense. With no local car industry to protect, tariffs would only hurt consumers and limit choice.
