Audi Sport has unveiled a new competition plus package for the RS 4 Avant and RS 5 Sportback models, scheduled for a mid-2024 release in Australia.

Available in limited quantities, the package introduces various modifications aimed at enhancing vehicle performance and handling.

According to Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia, the new package targets enthusiasts seeking unique vehicle enhancements.

It includes the introduction of the RS sport suspension pro with a coilover system, allowing for adjustments to the vehicle's handling and ride height.

This system offers a reduction in the standard ride height by 10 mm, with an option to lower it further by an additional 10 mm.

Improvements in performance metrics include a 0.2-second reduction in the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time for the RS 4 Avant, and a 0.1-second reduction for the RS 5 Sportback.

Both models also feature an increase in their maximum speed limit to 290 km/h. Additional technical adjustments include a fixed dynamic steering ratio and modifications to the quattro sport differential aimed at enhancing handling in dynamic driving modes.

The competition plus package also introduces a new RS sports exhaust system designed to enhance the auditory experience of the vehicle.

This is partly achieved through reduced insulation between the engine compartment and the cabin, contributing to weight savings.

Adjustments to the engine and transmission control units are intended to improve responsiveness and the differentiation between driving modes.

On the exterior and interior, the package offers optional RS front bucket seats made from Dinamica, a material incorporating recycled PET fibers, and the option of a crystal effect Sebring Black exterior finish.

Wheel design choices and optional high-performance Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres are also part of the package, aimed at enhancing the vehicle's aesthetic and performance capabilities.

Ownership benefits include a five-year warranty, a twelve-year warranty against corrosion perforation, and five years of complimentary roadside assistance. Audi also offers service plans and the Audi Advantage program, which extends the warranty and service benefits.

Additionally, owners gain access to the Audi Experience loyalty program, offering various exclusive events and promotions.

The competition plus package represents Audi's efforts to offer customisable enhancements for the RS 4 Avant and RS 5 Sportback models, catering to customers looking for specific performance and handling improvements.
